Day 05 – A song that reminds you of someone

Wow, this is a GOOD one. I have so many. I actually have a list of twelve songs for this category. I narrowed them down over and over and it always came down to either Mr. Funny Man by Christofer Drew or Please Come to Boston by Dave Loggins.

Mr. Funny Man isn't for anyone in particular, but we all have someone who, when you hear this song, you think of. It's about someone who tries too hard to get attention, and they end up just annoying.

Please Come to Boston reminds me of my Grandpy (my moms dad) who showed me all kinds of old music. When he died last year he left me a bunch of CD's, ranging from Buddy Holly's greatest hits to one hit wonders like Take a Letter, Maria. I picked this song because its the one I remember us dancing to and singing along with in his old den, and it just reminds me how much he's influenced my taste in music.
